VV19 IV by hadret VV19 IV by hadret
GNOME 2.30.2 @ Debian Sid

Autumn is here and so are some changes on my system. Finally I've switched from Tomboy to Zim -- I highly recommend Zim, it's one of my favorite Linux apps. Second important change is switching to PulseAudio -- I recommend this tutorial for Debian users. Last but not least is changing Audacious to Rhythmbox -- mainly cause the second one integrates with indicator-sound and it's sooooo sexy (:

Would you mind sharing the emblem that you used for the nautilus desktop icons?

Gustowna posadzka ;p By the way, tekstowe ikonki są niezniszczalne i powalające w swej prostocie. No i pięknie dopasowane do lokalnego kontekstu.

this looks quite nice. gonna have to go get that WP.

This may be dumb, but what is the name of your launcher bar program. It looks neat.

I also hadn't realized that debian comes standard with audacious and pulse (buntu user here). I'd sort of always been given the impression that alsa is a little more hassle free (I really liked it in lubuntu), but haven't had the inclination to go fiddling with my sound server.

Thanks (:

AWN is my launch bar.

It's hard for me to tell what's in standard Debina installation as I'm using netinstall and install only "core" system -- the rest I'm installing using aptitude. In repositories there is ALSA, as well as OSS4 and PulseAudio, so it's pretty easy to have one of them or all of them (:

ah cool. I'm running a debian based OS on my netbook and really like it. I tried doing an install of debian stable a while back but it just hated my video card or monitor or something. not sure. after I got the nvidia proprietary drivers installed I could only boot up to a black screen. Tried running Mepis after that. Had better luck with that one in that I could actually use the OS, but it would also freak out when I installed nvidia drivers, which would then have to be rolled back from a rescue mode (fun). I think the culprit is actually my lousy monitor, but either way I'm staying ubuntu-bound on my desktop (not that they haven't introduced their own nvidia based foibles since Lucid. I'm constantly on the verge of rolling back to Jaunty).

Sorry for the rant. It's been a lot of fun finding all you other Linux folks on dA.

Anyways, I may take a shot at alsa or alsa mixer or something since I really prefer terminal apps for my netbook.

I didn't quite understand the question (if there were any), although I'm guessing you were asking for tray icons, which are to be found here: [link] (:
