TIP: use "nautilus --no-desktop /home...." for removing the arrows , awesome shot :)

A question which script you use to display the theme and wallpaper that you use in the terminal?

:wow:

I can't choose between AWN and Docky, honestly. Intellihide has me hooked.

This is a beautiful desktop, awesome icons! It's so nice to be able to change everything to your exact taste, isn't it?

It's very nice, basically that's why I'm using AWN not Docky. But Docky has something that can change this state -- Zeitgeist integration (:

Yeah, but you have to compile from SVN just to get any reasonable degree of features from Docky, yet. I'll wait until Zeitgeist is already built into everything XD.

I should see which one's chunkier on the CPU/RAM on different video cards. I used to really like Cairo Dock since it was lightweight and speedy even on EeePCs.

True. This and also the fact, that I can't change icons in Docky make me AWN user. Also I find Stacks much better in AWN (even tough I'm not using it ATM).

While ago I read somewhere that Docky cause very high usage of CPU and RAM, but that was while ago and it could have changed (:

Yeah, Docky sucks with CPU back when it was part of Gnome-DO, but now it's quite nice. As far as I know, Docky doesn't HAVE stacks. But Docky can be used on any side of the screen- not sure if they fixed this with AWN, yet. It's nice to have competition, and it's also nice that I can switch whenever I feel like it.

But yeah, I loved how AWN worked, so I could put any command on the dock and give it my own icons. Much more customizable.

Hm, I was pretty sure, that I saw some stacks implementation in Docky. Anyways, it's true that Docky is still very unstable.

How did you get all the monochrome icons in the notification area? I've been trying to figure out in wich folder I should put em. :P

They're elementary-monochrome, caffeine icon is from gnome-look (there're instructions how to change default one), weather icons I guess are from ubuntu-mono so I put them into status folder (:

Możesz napisać w wielkim skrócie jak udało Ci się ustawić widok listy na pulpicie? Pytałem się już kiedyś i odesłałeś mnie do forum ubuntu, ale niezbyt wiele z tego wyciągnąłem.

One question, how did you make the text beside the icons in the desktop?, I know how to do it in a normal folder but I couldn't do it in a desktop.

I already have Nautilus-Elementary, but I didn't receive any updates, my guess is the new layout(nautilus) is for Lucid (Gnome 2.29-2.30) only, I couldn't compile it either!

Yes, it's for Nautilus 2.30.0 which is in Ubuntu 10.04. You will have to upgrade.
